We recommend checking your equipment every time you tow. Check your hitchball, coupler safety chains, wheel bearing grease & lug nuts. Use transom tie down straps on all boats. In the state of VA, brakes are required on trailers that have a GVW (gross vehicle weight) of 3,000 lbs or more. In NC it is 4,000 lbs. Please check the requirements in your state.
